Diana and I have been meeting at Rabbithole for a few months to figure out our next steps. You can hope to hear from us about new ideas and gatherings in the coming months! Also, that lamp above her head features monkeys holding candle lights. Bananas!

This photo didn’t really come out. It turns out that I’ve gotten used to the auto-focus on the iPhone so much, that I forget that older cameras had rules about how close your subject can be and still come out crisp and in focus. It seems fitting that an out-of-focus photo would be for a wine tasting room, but I regret that I can’t remember what was on the menu. Everything in the building is locally sourced in New York: wine, cheese, and meat, so that’s good.

This place is like a dream that I had several years ago. But instead of waking up to a dull reality without an eat-in movie theater with delicious tailored-to-content cocktails and entrees, I get to go to sleep with a full belly, swimming in satisfaction.

It’s hard to say anything about Diner that hasn’t already been said. I’m glad they’re here, and that they’ve invested- and continue to educate us- towards a culture of smallness.

The friendliest staff in all of Brooklyn. I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s impossible to be nicer, warmer or more positive than these guys. Magic happens when you visit.
